Chile’s Minister of Energy Visits Vidrala Headquarters Following the Group’s Recent Entry into the Country

Llodio (Álava, Spain), 5 June 2026. Vidrala, a leading glass packaging manufacturer with operations across Europe, the United Kingdom and South America, welcomed Chile’s Minister of Energy, Ms Ximena Rincón, to its headquarters in Llodio as part of her programme of meetings with leading industrial institutions and companies.
The Minister held a meeting with Vidrala’s CEO, Raúl Gómez, and discussed with the management team the key energy and regulatory challenges facing the glass industry before taking a guided tour of the group’s production facilities in Llodio. During the visit, Vidrala emphasised the need for stable and predictable conditions, security of supply and adequate infrastructure to strengthen its operations, plan future investments and continue progressing towards a more efficient and sustainable industry.
The visit comes at a particularly significant moment for the group, following the recent establishment of Vidrala Chile, a move that has further strengthened its international footprint. Through this step, Vidrala reaffirms its commitment to bringing industrial capability, quality and a long-term vision to the glass sector, serving customers in Chile and across the wider region.
