Crisnova Vidrio’s transformation project

Vidrala continues to make progress in its decarbonisation and energy efficiency strategy. Within this framework, the Group is driving a flagship project (Proyecto Tractor) at its Crisnova Vidrio plant, located in Caudete (Albacete), which will accelerate its industrial transformation and reduce emissions, avoiding around 28,000 tonnes of CO₂ equivalent per year.

The initiative comprises four workstreams focused on decarbonisation, energy efficiency, and renewable self-consumption. Key measures include the replacement of one of the current furnaces with a highly electrified furnace; the reduction of thermal energy consumption; the introduction of efficiency improvements in production processes; and the installation of solar PV panels for self-consumption.
