- Through dividends and share buybacks, Vidrala will allocate approximately €182 million to its shareholders.
28 October 2026. Vidrala, a global leader in the manufacture of glass packaging for the food and beverage sectors, has announced a new share buyback programme of up to 1% of its share capital, with a maximum value of €30 million. The programme will be launched once the current programme has been completed.
With this new programme, Vidrala continues to put shareholders at the heart of its strategy and strengthens its shareholder remuneration policy through measures that complement its dividend. The initiative reflects the company’s confidence in its business model and long-term prospects, underpinned by disciplined capital management that balances shareholder returns with investment in growth.
Raúl Gómez, CEO of Vidrala, comments: “The confidence of our shareholders is key to delivering our strategy. Despite a challenging environment, in the first nine months of the year we have strengthened our margins, grown in South America and generated the expected cash flow, while reducing debt. This further expansion reflects the strength of our business model, which enables us to create shareholder value, grow internationally and invest in serving our customers. At Vidrala, we have the strength, the team and the ambition to keep moving forward: the future is ours.”
Investment, growth and shareholder returns
This decision concludes a year in which Vidrala has increased its cash returns to shareholders by 15%. This is complemented by the share buyback programme, which has expanded progressively throughout the year:
- December 2025: 1% of share capital, up to €33 million.
- March 2026: 2% of share capital, up to €66 million.
- June 2026: 3% of share capital, up to €90 million.
- October 2026: 4% of share capital, up to €120 million.
With approximately €182 million allocated to shareholders in 2026 through share buybacks and dividends, Vidrala demonstrates that, even at one of the most challenging times for the sector, it is possible to grow with a clear ambition for the future.
